Slipping through my fingers
Like they’re slick with massage oil
My heart is on the floor
My mind is such a bore
We used to live so free
Just you
Just me
Sailing the sea of sirens
Now my plight is forgotten
I walk the woods of loneliness
Listening to the birds song of loveliness
The storm of love rains down upon me
Drenching me in the cold drops of time passed
While the thunder calls my name
It’s like a picture burned into the mind
Of an oppurtunity passed
My mind is bent up
Over all the tears we have wept
The light on the candle of our love has burned low
And now it flickers in the wind as it blows
Out the fire of our hearts
And so now we forever part
I have lost all I have ever wanted
So now I must begin from where I have already started
Begin to know myself anew
And hopefully this time
I won’t be so stupid
